Zhu Gong
The 3rd son of Hong Wu Emperor, elder brother of Zhu Di. Also known as the King of Jin, or Prince of Jin.
Official history is unclear how and when he died, but we have discovered that after spending some time in the Shaolin area, he travelled to Yunnan before leaving China. We will cover that story in some detail, in Book 2.
However, we will say here that he did live well into the 1400's. Although Zhu Di's attempts to remove his legacy from the historical record were somewhat successful, attempts to track him down and kill him were not, as killing a noble meant death to those responsible.
Zhu Gong spent the rest of his life spreading awareness of both Taoism and Buddhism, and attempting to implement some of the same improvements he made to the Shanxi province of China, in the area where he eventually settled.
